What a week!

So, we definitely had a tough week. Both the kids were sick. I made it to work one day this week. Brian spent all day today at home with both the kids. After we put the kids to bed I went to do some work. After I finished, this is what I found--Brian, Huddle, and Matthew all fast asleep:
I guess Brian had a tough day as he didn't even grab a pillow to sleep on!

As I mentioned, both of our kids got hit with a nasty virus this week (on top of Morgan having a double ear infection). Thankfully, both of them handled it very well. The absolute worst part was having to take Matthew to the ER because of his 104 degree fever. At the time, we didn't know what he had so poor Matthew had to endure many(many, many, many) needle sticks, a catherization, and a spinal tap (yes, a spinal tap) to rule out meningitis. It was definitely one of the hardest days I have had as a parent, but we got through it. Matthew is definitely on the mend while Morgan probably still has a few days before she is 100%.

Our Colorado Visit

We had a great time in Colorado last week. Even though I had several long days at our conference, it was wonderful seeing our friends and family out West. Mogan and Matthew had a wonderful time with their grandparents, Aunt Mimi, and Amma (Great Grandma). Brian and I stayed downtown while Morgan stayed at 'Camp Ma-ma/Papa'. Matthew hung out at the hotel for a few days then joined the fun at Ma-ma and Papa's house!

Morgan pretty much went non stop all week playing at the park, visiting the festivals in downtown Denver, spending the night at Mimi's, going to Tiny Town, playing in the backyard, learning to play tennis, eating at Chuck E Cheese's, and visiting family and friends in Cheyenne. BTW, the weather was awesome!

Whew....what a week!
