Wow, September is off to a busy start. Morgan was able to wear her Auburn Cheerleader Outfit for the first time this football season - we think she looked adorable :) The first two games have been night games so Morgan hasn't been able to go to Granddaddy and Nene's house yet for a game this season, but we are looking forward to the game next week.
Morgan's second birthday party was last weekend (for more pics click here). We spent the morning at Chuck E Cheeses and then had an ice cream party at our house. Morgan had a wonderful time playing with Jackson, Ben, DJ, Victoria and Lily and it was nice to now have William and Maggie with us.
During that weekend Ma-Ma and Papa were in town and we had a great time. Morgan loved the special walks, trips to McDonald's, and the extra attention she received. Brian and I certainly appreciated the date time! When Morgan woke up in the morning she would dance around the house or her crib when she realized they were still here. We also went to the children's museum last Sunday. I really wasn't impressed (save your money) but Morgan had a great time and that was what was important. On Monday, we had professional family photographs taken. It was meant to capture us as a family before we change from a family of 3 to a family of 4 and to capture Morgan at 2 years old.
Morgan is doing great at her new school. She has adjusted very well and really is thriving. Her language skills are exploding. I can't believe some of the words that come out of her mouth or how she strings a set of words together to form a sentence. Morgan still loves to color and to go on family walks. Thankfully the weather is cooling down a bit (if you call the lower 90s cool) so the evenings are more tolerable. Morgan received a tricycle for her birthday so she is now able to ride that while we walk the puppy. She loves her baby dolls and is quite the little mother. She loves to take them for walks, read to them, or put them to bed. She will be quite the big sister when the time comes.
Morgan is also making great progress with potty training. She uses the potty several times a day at school and at home. The number of diapers we are using is steadily decreasing while she has become more accustomed to pull ups and big girls pants. Brian and I can finally see the light at the end of the tunnel when it comes to diapers. We know that it will be short lived, but it will be nice to get a diaper break.
We have more adventures planned for this month to keep us busy - stay tuned for pictures!
