We visited Peppy and Kim this weekend in Auburn. The weather was fantastic so we spent a good portion of Saturday outside at Hickory Dickory Park (Toddler Park) and Auburn City Fest. We also enjoyed a home cooked dinner outside on the patio on Saturday evening (Nana and Aunt Megan joined us!).
We had a great weekend! For more pictures click here.

All About Morgan!
A few weeks ago, Morgan had her 18 month well-baby check up (and unfortunately, a few shots). Thankfully, we are blessed with an intelligent, healthy, beautiful little girl. She is about 22 pounds (17 percentile) and is in the 34 percentile for height. We definitely think she is quite petite--but don't let that fool you as she has quite the buddha belly!
Potty training is coming along surely but slowly. We started working on it a few months ago, but still have not pushed the process yet. She is quite interested in using the potty (and loves her rewards even more). We are definitely on our way to having a diaper free household!
Morgan's favorite things right now are books, puzzles, and everything Elmo. She really enjoys books and probably would read them for hours before we put her to bed if she would let us (we usually stick to five or six books). We are also working on learning the alphabet and colors (right now everything is yellow and green!). Thankfully up to this point, she hasn't shown any interest in TV or DVDs. But, that all changed when she discovered 'Elmo TV'. There is one, and only one, DVD that Morgan will watch (Elmo's Favorite Songs 2). Sesame Street just wont do (we have tried unsuccessfully several times). We can watch the entire DVD in less than ten minutes as she only likes watching Elmo (gotta love DVDs and the ability to skip chapters). As soon as it is over--she wants to watch it again.
Morgan is also beginning to discover cause and effect and is starting to anticipate how actions may affect people and things. For instance, at the end of her Elmo DVD, Elmo is nearly run over by a giant meatball. The first couple of times she watched the DVD, she would cry in a panic "Uh-oh Uh-oh" and run to the TV to turn it off. When she finally was able to watch it and realized that Snuffy saved Elmo from the giant meatball, she loved it and burst into giggles. My parents also bought her TMX Elmo. The first couple of times she was horrified when Elmo fell over on the floor--she just knew that it could not be good for Elmo to be rolling on the floor!
We spent several days a few weekends ago with Papa and Mama. Morgan loved being the absolute center of attention for several days. Brian and I also appreciated have someone helping watch Morgan so we could run errands without the assistance of a 1 year old and gave us the opportunity for a much needed date night. We loved having them here and wished they lived nearby-Morgan would love regular Mama and Papa play dates!
Last weekend was Brian's 32nd Birthday! It melted my heart listening to Morgan actually say "Happy Birthday Daddy" (and it wasn't even my birthday!). Morgan loved saying it as well--she hasn't stopped saying it! I am not sure how you teach a 1 year old that Birthdays are only one day a year. Brian spent his birthday golfing (with a personal best) with the guys but allowed Morgan and Jackson to take him to their favorite pizza place (Chuck E Cheeses) for his birthday dinner. Not sure how much fun Brian actually had, but I know the kids had a lot of fun. Brian's official birthday dinner with the Lemmings family (Paul, Janine, Alex, Norris Clan, etc.) is this week--and this time he gets to pick the restaurant!
We are off to Auburn this weekend to visit Peppy, Kim, Nana, and Megan. Brian and I are looking forward to spending time outside enjoying the beautiful weather, visiting family, and having another date night (two in one month!!!).

Happy Easter
We hope everyone had a blessed Easter and enjoyed this special time with family and friends!
Yesterday, we took a last minute trip to Auburn for a last minute gathering of family. It was very special to meet the newest member of the family - Lily Howland and to catch up with family we have not seen in a while.
After church service this morning , we went to brunch with Granddaddy, Nene and Alex and came home for a three hour family nap. The weekend could not have been any more perfect!
