We're Back!

We're back from the Windy City (strike that - HOT city of Chicago!) - we had an AMAZING time. I guess you could say Sunday's race was disappointing, but not because of Brian's performance. He trained hard and performed very well. Morgan and I are SO proud (Go Daddy Go!).

We'll post more pictures later this week - we have a ton to share!

Race News: http://www.suntimes.com/news/metro/594351,CST-NWS-marathon09.article. It is pretty pathetic that organizers cannot recognize they made a mistake and were NOT fully prepared. It is hard to believe that 35,000 participants that day are making this stuff up. I witnessed it first hand. Runners spend hundreds of hours preparing running hundreds and hundreds of miles. Not to mention the amount of revenue they and their family bring to the city to attend the marathon. Come on, GET IT TOGETHER CHICAGO. Thankfully, Brian trained in heat and was well prepared - obviously others runners did not take the heat seriously and are somewhat to blame. Water and Gatorade definitely would have helped make it easier for those who were ready to complete the race. I hope race organizers are starting to feel the heat.
